Spring And Summer News
Just a quick update on what a busy few months it's been. In April, I was honoured to teach pelvic anatomy and biomechanics to a wonderful group of women in Nubia Teixeira's Bhaktinova Teacher Training, and I'm looking forward to returning to this group in September for further study about yoga asana and pelvic health.
In May, I taught anatomy portions of the 200-hr Yoga Teacher Training at the Stress Management Center of Marin. It was an intimate group of yoginis, all seeking a deeper understanding of their own practice and professional life, and I was so excited to pass on my love of anatomy in yoga.
I also visited POM, an amazing yoga community center for pre- and post-natal wellness in Marin County. I ran a continuing education night for teachers, focusing on pelvic floor wellbeing and sequencing in public classes. What a privilege to be among such experienced and loving teachers, all committed to supporting women and families during their parenting journey.
Finally, I successfully completed my YA certified RYT-500 hr training, along with a separate IAYT Level 1 Certification in Yoga Therapy from SMC (in accordance with the new YA regulations on yoga therapy). I am so grateful to the wonderful faculty at SMC, each of whom brought their own deep levels of knowledge and practice to the course.
I am travelling on the east coast of America now, and then to England, spending time with family and exploring yoga offerings along the way. Very excited to return in August, to see my loving students, deepen our practice once again, and find the beauty and peace that yoga can bring us as we come together on our mat.
