Upcoming Dates, Part 2: Yoga Relief for Head, Neck and Shoulder Tension

Friday, May 19th, 12-1.30pm; or, Monday, May 22, 12-1.30pm

This is a two-part workshop. In Part 1, participants will explore their own body and patterns of tension through the use of YogaTune Up balls and other props, and will practice somatic movements (floor-based, slow, small movements that align with the breath) to release tension and create ease in the body. Part 2 includes a brief informational session around the anatomy of this area of the body, more somatic movement and breath work, and a yoga-posture based practice to close our time together. Each participant receives a video of these sequences and techniques, a brief follow-up session with Patty over zoom or phone, and a resource packet for further study and exploration.

Please note: participants must have taken Part 1 before taking Part 2. When you register for Part 1, you will pay for both portions of the workshop and select your preferred date. Please then register for your preferred date for Part 2; there is no payment charge when you register for Part 2.

Join me for a workshop of gentle movement and yoga self-care tools. In this two part workshop, we will

  • release tension in the head, neck and shoulders through rolling and self-massage/fascial manipulation

  • explore yoga-based movements and somatic practice to reduce stress in the mouth and jaw

  • learn yogic breathing techniques/strategies for reducing held tension/stress in upper body

  • explore yoga props and easy home-hacks to find ease in the upper back and neck

Why a workshop with PLS Yoga?

Patty is an expert in yoga practices to support optimal overall health and wellness; she is especially experienced in releasing tension in the bony girdles of the body, which include the jaw/shoulders and pelvis. These yoga therapy workshops offer the ideal environment for learning in a small-group format that attends to personal needs, individual practice styles and needs, and any given specific medical conditions.

Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Group size is limited to four people and instruction is highly personalized. A 30-minute consult is required before participation in any PLS Yoga Therapeutic Workshop.

Patty is a certified yoga therapist (C-IAYT) with over 10 years of teaching experience, 25 years of practice, and 1000+ hrs of specialist training. Her areas of expertise include pelvic health, yoga for cancer care, prenatal and postpartum support, and yoga for trauma recovery.

"I always feel better after Patty’s class. She’s interested in my health, intuitive, kind, and loving. She has a lot of knowledge of yoga techniques, practices, and principles. She’s a wonderful teacher!"
