New Audio Meditations: The Yamas

image-asset (6).jpeg

The Yamas: Five guiding principles for how we are to be in relationship to others—ahimsa; satya; asteya; brahmacarya; and aparigraha. The yamas are the first of the eight limbs of yoga, and fundamental to our ability to lead a yogic life. They are the principles of non-violence, truthfulness, non-stealing, restraint, and non-grasping. As you deepen your practice, whether committing for the first time or renewing your relationship to these principles, may these meditations offer you nourishment. I offer them with an open heart. And if you’d like to explore more, there are more meditations on each yama available on the website for my home studio, Vista Yoga.
